Sanja Plohl Plays Ponce Preludes

Slovenian-born (Madrid based) guitarist Sanja Plohl plays Preludes No. 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 from 24 Preludes by Mexican composer Manuel Ponce (1882-1948). This comes via Sanja Plohl’s YouTube Channel. There are two sets of Preludes from Ponce, the set of 24 and another set of 12. Both sets range from easy to medium difficulty compared to the larger sonatas etc, although at times a bit awkward. They seem to be rarely played despite the prominence of the composer. I suppose they are a bit hard to programme and sometimes a bit too much effort for the musical return for students. However, when played nicely as here by Plohl, they can be little gems. You can get the sheet music via Amazon: 24 Preludes by Ponce.
