Classical Guitar Lesson - Jesu by BachLesson: Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Bach
Arranged for classical guitar
Level: Intermediate (RCM 4 or 5)
Sheet Music: Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Notation [free] or TAB.

This lesson is for my graded repertoire lesson series and for the wedding section of the sheet music page. You can find more repertoire lessons halfway down the lesson archive page. Get the free sheet music and learn from the lesson. This piece, Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750) is an arrangement and comes from Bach’s Cantata BWV 147. This one is great for gigs such as weddings. This piece is perfect for the signing part of the wedding ceremony. I’ve tried to make the arrangement easy enough to sight read or learn quickly. Just be careful of a few fingerings that help make the melody nice and legato.  Join the Email Newsletter to get updates on free sheet music and lessons. Please consider donating to the site to up your happy level.

  1. Hi Brad, any advice on handling the change from triplets to 16th notes, i.e., measures 13 going into measure 16. Thanks in advance.
