Dublin Guitar Quartet Play Three Pieces by Stravinsky

Dublin Guitar Quartet (Brian Bolger, Pat Brunnock, David Creevy and Tomas O’ Durcain) perform Three Pieces for String Quartet by Igor Stravinsky (1882-1971). Above is the first movement but I’ll update this post as the rest of the set are posted. This comes via their great YouTube channel. Three Pieces for String Quartet was composed in 1914 and revised in 1918 and originally a work for four-hands on one piano. The manuscript was originally titled Trois pièces pour quatuor à cordes – reduction pour piano à quatre mains par moi. Great performance by the Dublin Quaret with special attention to the orchestration and varied textures in the work.
