Eliot Fisk performs his arrangement of Aldo by Luciano Berio (1925-2003). Aldo is Duet No.24 from his collection of 34 Duetti per due violini (1979-83), dedicated to the Italian violist Aldo Bennici and based on a real Sicilian folk song. This comes via the Omni Foundation series and their Youtube channel. Beautifully expressive performance by Fisk who is always interesting to listen to. Every time I hear Fisk I need to listen a few times to wrap my head around what he’s doing, always a unique touch on the guitar.
