Roland Dyens Plays Alba Nera at the 2013 CGR

dyens245A great sounding video of Roland Dyens playing his own work ‘Alba Nera’ live at the Classical Guitar Retreat. Feels like we are right in the audience. The next retreat is July 2nd-7th, 2014 which is sure to be a blast. I should go there and be a student for a week  and try to have a nice glass of  scotch whiskey with artistic director Matthew McAllister! Matthew was in Victoria last year and did some great teaching! I didn’t get a chance to hear him perform but he played at bit to demo to a student and sounded amazing. Here’s a blurb: “CGR is a unique course set on a beautiful Scottish Island with some of the very best performers and educators working to guide, educate and inspire students of the Classical Guitar!” via
