David Russell plays Sylvius Leopold Weiss


Have been thinking of Weiss this month. As I was working on a Bach cello suite and adding notes etc, I kept thinking: why not play actual lute music. Love Weiss, especially at morning and night (?).

Love Russell’s relaxed feel for the music and his awesome ornaments. Part I and II is the suite.
