Duo Luminoso (Latvian violinist Laura Zarina & German guitarist Heike Matthiesen) play Cantabile (Op.17/m.s. 109) by Italian violinist, guitarist, and composer Niccolò Paganini (1782-1840). You can check out a public domain version of the sheet music via imslp.org. As a West Coast Canadian I’m always so jealous of Heike’s videos where she gets to play in the most amazing venues, this one looks like a gallery possibly? Anyway, Paganini’s guitar stuff isn’t always great but at the same time its nice to hear the guitar fit so well into a natural period texture. Nice legato phrasing by both.
