Gaëlle Solal plays Villa-Lobos Choros No. 1

0

French guitarist Gaëlle Solal plays Choros No. 1 by Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos (1887–1959). This comes via Gitaar, maar waar? and their great YouTube Channel. Great playing by the amazing Gaëlle Solal, this is one of the lighter Villa-Lobos works for the guitar but works well. I love how she takes her time with the rubato but really gets back into the Choro groove so smoothly and easily. Sheet music via Amazon: Collected Works of Guitar by Villa-Lobos.
