Lesson on Cadences, Chords, and Phrasing

Graham Fitch gives a lesson on cadences, chords and harmony. This comes via Pianist Magazine on their YouTube channel. He gives a brief explanation of leading tones, the gravity of cadences, triads within a harmonized scale, chord progressions, and phrasing in general. This is all completely relatable to guitar as it’s in all of our tonal music as well.

Don’t worry if you can’t take it all in, it would take a few years of music theory to retain it all. Instead, just listen to it and get some ideas on the emotional response, gravity, and intentions of phrasing and harmony. Super helpful if you just listen to it and enjoy.
