Steve Cowan Plays Ségoviana, Op. 366 by Milhaud

Canadian guitarist Steve Cowan plays Ségoviana, Op. 366 (1957) by French composer Darius Milhaud (1892-1974). Wonderful playing as usual from Cowan who is quickly becoming one of my favourite Canadian guitarists. Beautiful clean lines, sharp articulations, and lush contrasts make this one of the best recordings of the piece online. This comes via his amazing YouTube channel, here’s the blurb “French composer Darius Milhaud was a member of “Les Six” and composed his tribute to Segovia, “Segoviana”, in 1957. This piece will be featured on Cowan’s forthcoming album with EMEC discos in Madrid. Audio and video by Drew Henderson. Guitar by Bruno Boutin.”
