I have completed the first part of the first free volume, without going to the “accompaniment” section. Do you think I can start studying the second volume, jumping this part? I don’t think it’s essential to go on.

Yes, you can proceed to the next volume but I do recommend you at least learn the chord shapes and be able to play them cleanly as it will be needed eventually.
