Goran Krivokapic plays the finale of Sonata for guitar, Op. 47 by was an Argentine composer Alberto Ginastera (1916–1983). This sonata was written in 1976 for Carlos Barbosa-Lima. I didn’t know this but among his notable students were Ástor Piazzolla! Not sure how long of a relationship that was but I love finding these connections. Ginastera is big though, having written orchestral works, operas, ballets, and numberous chamber and solo works.
