The better thing to do is to switch your method and get to work. That might be changing the speed of the passage or reducing the amount of material or just doing 5 mins of work on it and then moving on to the next item. There is also a great discussion on interruptions and context switch both of which come at a cost of productivity. In particular, grouping your interruptions together to reclaim your attention and rest.
