Pavel Steidl plays Giuliani Concerto in A, Op. 30


A really nice performance of Mauro Giuliani’s Guitar Concerto No. 1 in A major, Op. 30. Nice to hear it on period guitar although the sound quality of the guitar is not great on this recording. Nevertheless, this is pretty much every one of Giuliani’s pieces rolled into one concerto. If my memory servers me correctly (via the Heck book on Giuliani), Giuliani himself actually performed this work at Haydn’s 70th birthday celebration. Can anyone confirm this?
