What are asynchronous lessons?
It’s easy, you send me a video of you playing and I send one back to you with positive feedback and tips for improvement. We talk to each other and play normal but there is a small delay between our responses, just like email or text messaging.
Who offers the lessons?
Bradford Werner (your host here) offers lessons based on his availability. Overflow students might be recommended to other teachers.
Does the timezone matter?
Since all lessons are asynchronous it doesn’t matter what time zone you live in.
How are payments handled and what are the rates?
All payments are made via my Shopify store Werner Guitar Editions. All details and payment info is updated on the site. A link appear above when there is availability.
How do I send you videos?
Email me a link to your video. The link can go to either a streaming service or something like dropbox or google drive. As long as I can click a link to view it and not sign up for anything, that works for me. If you are using YouTube you can make it either public or unlisted.
I’m terrified of playing for you? Can I still take lessons?
Yes. I’m a professional teacher so making people feel comfortable and creating a positive educational experience is very important to me. Also keep in mind that just because a student is nervous and making mistakes they don’t usually make, that doesn’t mean the lesson won’t be great! Usually, nerves poke holes in our technique or musical weaknesses so leave the mistakes in the video for me to see and help you with.
What levels do you teach?
I teach a variety of levels and ages. Everything from beginners to professionals looking for feedback. As long as you have an open mind and are willing to gain from outside advice and opinions than I am happy to teach you.
