Happy Year of the Goat! Here is Chinese guitarist Xuefei Yang in a live performance at the 2014 Chinese Festival at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. Via her Youtube: “The piece is from Taiwan, and is called Spring Breeze. This arrangement for guitar was made by Gerald Garcia.” I love Xuefei Yang’s playing, such clear musical gestures. My bet is that there is a wireless mic in the guitar but I can’t tell, but that would explain the sound. Garcia has a great blog as well so check him out!
