Kanahi Yamashita Plays Prelude BWV 998 by Bach

Kanahi Yamashita Plays Prelude BWV 998 by Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750). This comes via Young Classicals on YouTube. Since her childhood in Nagasaki, Japan, Kanahi Yamashita was a member of Kazuhito Yamashita Family Quintet. I had the pleasure of meeting both Kazuhito and Kanahi Yamashita a few years back when I hosted his masterclass in Victoria. He was in Victoria recording with the world class double bass payer Gary Karr. Kazuhito has always been an inspiration to me for is daring uniqueness and musicianship and Kanahi continues that with her amazing musical expression and fluid technique.

Sheet music via Amazon: Bach Lute Suites (Koonce) or the Zigante Edition or this Elliot Fisk edition which I’ve never seen. Koonce is pretty solid but nice to have multiple editions when it comes to Bach.
