Lesson: Españoleta Theme by Sanz (Easy)

This is a lesson from my eBook: Easy Classical Guitar Pieces- Volume One – 15 Easy Songs Ranging from Renaissance to Romantic. Españoleta Theme by Gaspar Sanz (1640–1710) is one of the most well known Baroque guitar works played on the modern guitar. This might also sound familiar if you’ve heard Rodrigo’s concerto: Fantasía para un gentilhombre (Fantasia for a Gentleman) which uses themes from Sanz. Here I discuss some important musical aspects as well as a talk about ornamentation. Just remember to play the piece without ornaments as well.
